We've had several landscaping/concrete jobs done in Bakersfield - J&J was the best and I wish we had found them sooner. Very reasonable pricing, professional, and knowledgable in their field.

We had a tight timeline due to the HOA regulations and we were able to get the landscaping done in less than 3 weeks for our huge backyard. Jose was so patient with us while picking out the designs and plants. The job was done so professionally, and really appreciated how meticulous they were with their job.

The HOA is pretty strict with what we can and can't do, and what plants we can and can't plant, and Jose went through the entire guidelines to make sure everything was approved. Another thing that stood out was their flexibility - it's one thing to see a design on paper and another to see it in person. Everytime we had concerns or wanted to make tweaks, Jose helped us get exactly what we wanted.

We bought a brand new home in July of 2021 and based on our HOA we had to have plans submitted for a backyard and everything done for our backyard within 90 days of moving in. This of course was a tight deadline.

We began reaching out to landscapers to get quotes and gain an understanding for what we really needed. Most landscapers wouldn't even call us back because we weren't getting a water feature, wouldn't do jobs under an outrageous amount of money, etc. J&J was responsive. They came out and gave us ideas for the space. We had just bought a new home so weren't looking to sink another chunk of money into our backyard as well. We wanted to appease our HOA while also giving us a nice backyard to enjoy. J&J worked with us on our budget and told us where we could cut costs.

They finished everything in 3 weeks. This essentially two man father/son duo team transformed our dirt lot into a beautiful backyard. They extended our driveway, made a concrete path along the side of the house and around the back, added irrigation, put cement borders in, pads for a jacuzzi and shed, grass, installed irrigation, installed our gazebo, planted 2 olive trees, put a rock path in, and BUILT and installed our garden beds with irrigation to them.

I'm so glad we went with J&J. I know we wouldn't have received the same service with anyone else. They were friendly, fast, and responsive. Not once did we wonder where they were, they always showed up. They even brought our trash bins up and down the driveway. They truly go above and beyond.

While getting bids for a block wall job I stumbled across J J and asked for a bid from them.

They were great and came out the very next day to go over my existing structure and get me a quote. There was more work than I originally anticipated but they were great about showing me everything that they saw and explaining the situation to me. Even better they were honest about the material prices being more than double what they used to be which made the quote much higher than it normally would have been.

I was advised to try to wait out the material cost if I didn't need this done right away and they could get me a much better quote if the prices come down for the blocks. I felt like they were very honest and straight forward with me and I'm almost certain I'll be hiring them to do my wall if the material costs come down next year.

We needed some concrete work and a retaining wall done. J J Concrete made everything fast and easy. They came and got me a quote promptly. they always showed up when they said they where, and when they started work they did it in a very timely manner, even when I added additional concrete work to be done. They where very pleasant to deal with and very thorough and explained everything to me. they went above and beyond by fixing and reconnecting my sprinklers, even though I was not expecting it to be done.
